Information about the closure of the evpass app
What changes after 30.11.2025
After 30.11.2025, charging via the evpass app and the evpass charging card will no longer be possible.
evpass account will not be migrated. All personal data will be deleted after 31.12.2025, subject to statutory retention periods.
The evpass charging network will continue to exist and is now available via the Shell App. Register now and request your free charging card!
evpass EXPLORER subscription and credit
If your subscription expires before 30 November 2025, you can continue to use it normally until the end date. For durations beyond this, we will refund the unused months on a pro rata basis. Please note that we can only refund paid evpass subscriptions.
If you still have credit in your account, we ask you to please use it up by 30 November 2025.
How the refund works
Eaton Industries II GmbH will calculate the refund amounts for all affected user starting from 01.12.2025.
You will then receive a separate notification with instructions and further information on the payout from Eaton Industries II GmbH or a third-party provider.
Any remaining amount due to you will be refunded, provided you follow the instructions sent to you and respond within the deadline specified in the instructions. Failure to respond in time or to follow the instructions will be considered a waiver of the refund.

The goal is to simplify the charging offering in Switzerland and make access to our network more efficient. Therefore, the Shell charging offering will soon be unified under a single Shell app.

evpass will be discontinued on 30 November 2025, along with the evpass app and the evpass charging card. In the future, the charging offering from evpass will be available through the Shell App.

The existing charging network will remain in place. In the future, the charging stations will appear in the Shell Recharge design.

In the future, the charging offering will be available via the Shell app. Unfortunately, your account will not be migrated, and you will need to register again. All existing customers will receive a loyalty voucher by email when they start using the new Shell app. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder.

¹ The electricity used for charging is physically drawn from the general power grid. By purchasing guarantees of origin, Shell ensures that an equivalent amount of electricity from renewable energy sources is fed into the grid.
² Valid only at a Shell Recharge charging point located at one of the participating Shell stations in Switzerland.
Eligibility criteria: all customers charging via the Shell App or the Shell Hybrid Card.
