Who we are
Founded in 2016, evpass is a public charging network for electric vehicles in Switzerland. Our mission is to promote e-mobility in Switzerland. To this end, we offer a constantly growing network of charging stations at home and abroad.
As a pioneer in Swiss electromobility, evpass has been setting standards for years. By providing reliable and easily accessible charging options, we're making an important contribution to a green future.
Since the beginning of 2023, evpass in association with Shell (Switzerland) AG can count on the charging network of a global energy company.
Our history
New perspectives
Shell (Switzerland) AG has been the owner of evpass since February 2023. Shell is working with evpass to promote electromobility in Switzerland.
Expansion
The acquisition in 2021 of Green Motion SA by Eaton, a leading global energy management company, resulted in further growth. Since then, Eaton has been the exclusive partner for the development and manufacture of all evpass charging stations.
Strategic partners
In 2018, two producers of renewable energy, FMV SA (Forces Motrices Valaisannes) and AEW Energie AG based in Aargau, acquired shares in evpass.
Launch
evpass was launched in 2016 by Green Motion SA, a Swiss pioneer in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The aim: to establish a broad charging network in Switzerland to optimise the charging of electric vehicles.
