evpass has developed and operates the primary Swiss network of public charging stations. Its mission is to create a network of evpass charging stations located in carefully chosen public locations on the roadside and in users’ homes, with easy-to-use charging stations with integrated cables and plugs and sockets that are suitable for all types of electric vehicles. evpass also supplies its users with energy that is certified as local and renewable.
evpass was created in 2016 by
Green Motion SA, the Swiss pioneer in charging infrastructure for electric vehicle charging. Since March 2021, Green Motion SA is part of Eaton. In 2018,
FMV SA (Forces Motrices Valaisannes) and the Aargau-based energy supplier
AEW Energie AG became shareholders in evpass SA. Since February 2023, evpass is being owned by Shell (Switzerland) AG, which acquired 100% of the shares.
